Associate

Rachael is an Associate in our Dispute Resolution Team, having joined the firm in December 2024. She works with clients to resolve complex disputes with a practical, commercially focused approach.

Rachael has a particular interest in construction law disputes and litigation, and assists clients across a broad range of matters, including:

  • Building disputes across Victorian courts and tribunals, including matters involving incomplete and defective works (including without limitation non-compliant cladding systems), and general building contract disputes
  • Domestic building insurance claims, including reviews of decisions in VCAT
  • BPC complaints and disciplinary proceedings
  • Fencing and boundary disputes
  • Adverse possession claims
  • Protection works disputes
  • Owners’ corporation disputes
  • Disputes arising under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 2002

Rachael also brings valuable experience into regional legal matters, including transactional work relating to farmland and ‘off the plan’ conveyancing work. This background complements her practice, where she is focused on helping clients navigate building and other property-related disputes with clarity, diligence and a strong understanding of the practical issues that arise in the construction industry and on selling/purchasing real property.
