Land Development and Compulsory Acquisitions

Taryn Parkinson



Taryn was admitted to practice in 2021 and shortly after joined Best Hooper Lawyers. Taryn brings three years of unique legal experience to our firm.

Taryn is developing her skills and building on her experience within our Land Development team. This involves assisting in compulsory land acquisition and compensation claims, complex property advice and adverse possession matters. Taryn has a special interest in owners corporation disputes, and previously represented owners’ corporations in fee recovery proceedings at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

Taryn enjoys working closely with senior members of the land development team and looks forward to advancing her professional and practical legal knowledge with our firm. She appreciates working at a firm that strongly values the provision of high-quality legal services to respected clients.

Taryn completed her Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) at Deakin University, which has provided her with a unique financial insight into her legal work.

Taryn is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria and the Victorian Women Lawyers. She has previously volunteered at a Community Legal Centre, where she gained experience in a variety of legal matters.
