Marie Sheriff

Marie joins Best Hooper as Associate Planning Lawyer practising Planning Law.  She was admitted to practice law in 2006 and subsequently worked briefly in Property Law, after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws from Monash University.

Since then, Marie has developed a strong passion for urban design, architecture and town planning. She worked with the Moreland City Council, and then spent eight years as an urban planner with the Melbourne City Council.

Her eight years’ experience in local government has enabled her to build an intimate understanding of the inner machinations of local government in not only town planning, but also urban design and heritage.
